Starters in tube light uses capacitors to produce a momentary high voltage of 400V due to discharging of capacitor.
This momentary high voltage will start the gaseous discharge to priduce light by initial flickering .
now,if capacitor is not used , the power supply from the main cannot start the gaseous discharge .
it gives the initial high voltage demand to turn on the tube light and on running time maintain the power factor ,

There is no coupled capacitor in existence that i know. Capacitors can be used to couple or decouple a signal
if exact replacement capacitors are not available, you should substitute it with a capacitor that has
Alluminium
A capacitor nominally has no inductance, which is lucky because there is no such device to mesure it with.
A tube light uses a condenser which is the old term for a capacitor. It functions as a small battery in a circuit.
The small cylindrical thing that You see (generally on a side of the choke coil) is the "starter " of the tube light. This is the capacitor used in tube light. And is used to provide a momentary voltage rise of nearly 400V to start up the tube light hence Starter.
electrostatic capacitor
For power factor improvement so that the KVA demand is reduced.
discharge tube can be used for indentifying electrons while tube light cxannot
tube-light is coated with phosphorous from inside
The Hindi word for tube light is 'prakash nalika'. Though it is not commonly used.
neon
i). The starter consists of an neon bulb and a capacitor. ii). Within starter, the neon bulb and capacitor are connected parallel. iii) The capacitor in a starter, serves two purposes. - It absorbs the electrical noise generated in a tubelight, and assists in starting purpose - It improves the power factor.
