What is the rubber window moldings called on a 2004 Toyota sequoia?
They are called "belt molding". Don't know why and they ain't cheap to replace.
Is the sealer for a windshield good enough or do you need to also put on a rubber molding strip also?
I just replaced one of my headlight bulbs - I presume that's what you're asking about and not the entire headlight assembly. Open your hood and at the back of the headlight there is a large rubber boot cover with a tab on it with wires coming out the back. Pull the tab and gently pry the rubber boot off. You will see a wire retainer which holds the bulb in place - pinch it…
rubber is used for all sorts of things for example car tires, rubber gloves, rubber soles on shoes, condoms, water bottles, rubber bands, conveyor belts shock absorbers. rubber is often used as it is easy to shape and when mixed and heated with sulphur lasts for a good amount of time. This is called vulcanized rubber.
First, there are two different kinds of rubber: natural rubber - it comes from the sap (latex) of the rubber tree synthetic rubber - in comes from petrochemicals Both types of rubber are long chain polymers. The hardness and durability of rubber is improved by a process called "vulcanization" which mixes sulfur with the raw rubber at high temperature to produce sulfur crosslinks between the polymer chains.
