Pointing the barrel in a safe direction and with your finger away from the trigger or hammer (if so equipped) carefully open the breech or cylinder of the weapon to see if a round is chambered or not.

A firearm that has ammunition loaded into it. IMPROVING ANSWER: If you say "a gun is loaded when there is ammo inside it" you are using common sense. If you are asking the question about gun safety and safe gun handling, that's totally accurate. An "unloaded" gun means one that is fully unloaded-- no ammo in any part of it, even the magazine. But from a legal standpoint, if you are carrying a gun in a way that is only legal if the gun is not loaded, watch out for what your state's legal definition of a "loaded" gun is. Not all state and local laws are written with common sense. Sometimes, in some jurisdictions, the law might use the phrase "loaded firearm" to mean a gun that is NOT actually loaded, but for which there is ammunition within easy reach, if the gun and the ammo are not in cases or boxes. And in some jurisdictions, a gun that has rounds in the magazine but none in the chamber might or might not be "loaded" in the eyes of the law. So really, it depends on what state you're in and what the circumstances are.

A firearm, whether loaded or unloaded is always considered a dangerous weapon when used in an illegal/unlawful manner. This is because of the fear that it instills into other persons who have no way of knowing if the firearm is unloaded, or not.
You have to reboot. there is no other way. Safe mode is just windows loaded with just the basic drivers required to run.
No - it can blind.Yes it is safe.Every firearm is safe as long as the operator of the firearm handles it a safe and thoughtful manner.I have had my 9 year old grandson shooting a daisy BB gun for the last 2 years, under my supervision. He is learning the safe way to handle firearms, whether loaded,or not!I am now ready to move him up to a single shot .22cal rifle. He has progressed quite well, and I believe he is ready for the next step in his firearm training.By the age of 11,he will be ready to take his hunter safety course, and then he will be able to go afield with me.As adults WE must take the time to educate our children, grandchildren in the safe and correct method of handling all types of firearms. It is my opinion parents just look at to many items as a built in babysitter to entertain their children, without the proper instruction as to there safe use.
No way to tell. Serial numbers are NOT unique to only one gun in the world.
No way to know. You would have to provide the make and model and even then, it may not be possible to tell.
No way to tell. Serial numbers are NOT unique to only one gun, or they would be billions of numbers.
That's a very vague question. Having a firearm where? Home? Car? Work? Transporting it while travelling? Carrying it loaded? Besides all that, in the United States, laws vary from state to state, so there is no real way to answer the question as asked. If you will rephrase the question and be more specific, we can answer the question.
That is a matter of opinion. Many instructors (people that actually do it for a living) will tell you that the best way is in a strong-side hip holster, but many people aren't willing to carry a gun that way. The most basic answer is, there are many ways to carry a firearm. The best way for any particular person is whatever way that suits that person's lifestyle.
No way to tell- a serial number is not unique to only one firearm in the world.
