"Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods" by Suzanne Collins has a total of 358 pages in the hardcover edition.
Book 3, Gregor and the curse of the warmbloods. One of my very favorite series.
The setting of the book "Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods" is primarily the Underland, a hidden world beneath New York City. This fantastical realm is inhabited by various creatures, including giant rats, bats, and humans, and features different regions like the Firelands and the Waterway. The characters navigate these unique landscapes as they embark on their quest.
there are 5 books in the underland chronicles > Gregor the overlander > Gregor and the prophecy of bane > Gregor and the curse of the warmbloods > Gregor and the marks of secret > Gregor and the code of Claw I really wish that she would write a 6th one though:)

In "Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods," the climax occurs when Gregor and his friends confront the horrific reality of the plague affecting the warmbloods. Gregor's determination to save his sister, Boots, and the other warmbloods leads to a tense showdown with the main antagonist, the Bane. This pivotal moment tests Gregor's courage and commitment, ultimately pushing him to make critical decisions that impact the fate of both his world and the Underland. The emotional weight of the conflict highlights themes of sacrifice and loyalty.

In the end of Gregor the Overlander and the curse of the warmbloods, they find out that the disease was created by Dr. Neevee under the orders of Solovet, so she could use it as a weapon. When aAres went into Neevee's office to be treated for mite bites he was infected accidently and spread it throughout Underland. Neevee is sentenced to death and Solovet gets a bad reputation. Unfair, isn't it?
