it has a star next to the word Alaska with 1959 under it. on the side of the quarter it says the great land. in the middle of the coin is a river with a bear eating a fish in it with a waterfall in the background.
It also has the date minted and year Alaska became a U.S. State.
Breath-taking. It's clean and green during the summer. there's plenty of wilderness and animals. The towns are smaller in size which means more space. During the winter everything is covered in snow and it's absolutely beautiful.
The shape of Alaska looks like a man who has a long beard. The man appears to be floating on a water body like an ocean.
Not to long ago, I found a drawing, it had a mammoth's head filling almost all of Alaska. The main body of Alaska was the head while the alutian chain was the tusks and trunk.
While state shapes are usually subjective, many see the shape of Alaska as a man. To those people, it looks like a bearded man facing to the left.
