Backwards to the current standard. Neutral then down for 1 down for two etc. It was my first bike and I had a hard time learning my second.

My first motorbike was an 80cc Suzuki K10 registered in 1965, which needed oil mixing in with the petrol. The K10P designation relates to the oil pump version, which I currently own. My K10P was registered in the UK in 1968 and has the separate oil tank on the offside of the main frame. I can therefore say with some certainty that (in the UK at least), that the K10P must be later than 1965 and definitely existed in 1968. My guess is that the oil pump variant was introduced in late 1967 or for the 1968 model year and then until the bike was no longer listed for sale new.

If your transmission doesnt shift until 35 mph then check your vaccum hose on your transmission.... i had the same prob. and that is what it was because it is a vaccum shift tranny and without the vaccum then it will shift at really high rpms.
