If by not importing correctly you mean that your Shepard's face is not what it was from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2? This issue is encountered with people who attempt to import a Shepard that they have played through both of the first games with. The reason for this error is that because Mass Effect did not use the same coding system that Mass Effect 2 & 3 use, the game is unable to generate an accurate render of the imported Shepard's face, often resulting in a Shepard of completely different appearance.
If you have multiple playthroughs with one Mass Effect character and made different choices on each when you port the character in Mass Effect 2 would you be able to chose which playthrough you want?
Mass Effect 2 will use the latest playthrough of your character. It can't use an older one because when you restart with your character, his missions are completely reset, only your equipment and stats remain.

To use the Cain gun it has to show 100%. Anything lower and it wont fire. In my experience its not really worth getting.
