Trembling, especially in the hands, is one of the most visible symptoms. Along with this goes rigidity, slowness of movement, and unsteady gait.

Other effects can be loss of speaking volume or the ability to speak aloud, loss of ability to chew or swallow food, sleep problems (insomnia or daytime drowsiness), or eye problems.
