Silverwing is about a newborn bat named shade and the rest of the colony. Shade and Chinook get a glimpse of the sun, which is against the law for bats. So, the owls get revenge by setting their beloved tree haven aflame. They head to a barn, and the next day, they start their migration to Hibernaculum. But in a stormy night, Shade gets separated from the colony. He meets Marina, Zyphire, and the dreaded Goth and Throbb. The question is: will he make it to Hibernaculum?
