Not really as long as they are left alone. Milipedes, unlike centipedes, are cute and nice little critters who eat only plant material. They do not bite, but some especies can release a liquid in self defense that burns the eyes and causes skin irritation. But as long as you leave them alone, they are not dangerous and they don´t become pests since they are adapted to the outdoors and die quickly in houses because of the dry conditions and lack of food. Don´t mistake them for centipedes tough because those ones bite and can cause a bee sting like pain.
