Meteorology is the study of atmospheric phenomena; weather is the current state of the atmosphere; and climate is the long-term variations in weather for a particular area. All of these aspects of earth science have to deal with the atmosphere of the study of the atmosphere.

∙ 15y agoMany people confuse the two terms with each other, but they actually do not have much of anything in common. Astronomy is the study of planets and things of outter space, while Meteorology is the study of weather conditions on Earth. It's two very different fields.

∙ 9y agoThere is a relationship between the weather and wind. When the wind is typical for the reason; or the prevailing wind, the weather will stay within normal limits for that region. When the wind shifts, the weather will change from that norm.

Astrologers tracked the motion of the stars and planets with an idea toward interpreting their mystical influence on Earthly events; astronomers are grateful for the data collected, but they insist it can serve no such purpose.
