Your question is vague, I read this and I think "What country(s) are Apple laptops produced in?". The answer is: Apple assembles their products, including their iBooks/PowerBooks, in a number of countries. Final assembly of products sold by Apple is conducted in Apple's manufacturing facilities in Sacramento, California, Cork, Ireland, and Singapore and by external vendors in Taiwan, Korea, Mexico, the People's Republic of China, and the Czech Republic. Currently, many components of Apple's products and final asssembly of all of the Company's portable products including PowerBooks, iBooks, and the iPod is performed by third-party vendors in Taiwan.
The PowerBook G4 family consists of many different configurations over several years, the last of which was manufactured in late 2005. Pricing for PowerBook G4 models will vary based on age, specifications, and overall condition. The most reliable way to gauge value is to check for recently completed auctions for a particular model PowerBook G4 on eBay. ---------------------------- Original purchase cost on most Powerbooks was somewhere between $2500 and $6000 anywhere in between and including October 1991 Motorola 68000 through November 1997 (G3 models) and up to April 2007 (Aluminum Case G4). Today in 2010, for example, you can get the Titanium Powerbooks from 2002-4 or so for about $300-$700 in good working order. Many consider the Titanium Powerbooks to be the first true laptops - the first actually portable computer that didn't result in a loss of power in any appreciable way compared to a desktop. It's likely those Powerbooks will become collectors items for a variety of reasons including material usages and design.
