I'm not a doctor myself. But I did read somewhere that the Italian doctor association went out publicly and wanted Greys Anatomy of the air because they felt that the show portrayed medical staff and hospitals in an untrue way. They didn't get it of the air, but in Italy they now have a warning before the show saying that the show is purely fictional. So I'm guessing that it's not
