Sounds get higher in pitch as they get closer, due to the sounds waves getting packed closer together. (Which IS higher-pitched) Sounds get lower in pitch as they go away, due to the sound waves being pulled farther apart than normal. (Which IS lower-pitched). This is called the Doppler effect, and works with light, also.
The sound waves compress, causing the air molecules to be closer together as they propagate towards the hearer. This results in an increase in air pressure, which is perceived as a louder sound.
as you get closer it gets warmer and as you go farther away it gets colder
A gravitational field gets stronger as you get closer to it due to the proximity to the massive object creating the field. The force of gravity is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between two objects, meaning that the gravitational pull increases as you move closer to the source of gravity.
onthe neck of a guitar there are lumps that go across it underneath the strinds called frets, when you press the string onto the fret and then puck the string it makes a sound. the closer to the body of the guitar the fret is, the more high pitched the note gets and vise versa. : )

Jealousy sounds like the sound of an approaching train. The closer it gets the louder it gets until it becomes deafening. Which is much like the emotional pull of jealousy; the longer we feel jealousy the more it intensifies and grows until it can become overwhelming.
