Lip rings range in size from 20 gauge (the smallest) to 14 gauge (the largest). Sixteen-gauge is considered a "normal" size lip ring. The piercer will usually start with a lip ring that is slightly larger to accommodate the swelling that will naturally occur as a result of the piercing process. Once healing has occurred, the wearer can change the size of the lip ring to either a smaller or larger one.
Most places will do it at 16ga. Either 16ga or 14ga are good bc they aren't too big and there's a good selection of jewelry in those sizes.
Either 16ga or 14ga
it depends on the gauge they pierce it with. Mines a 16g but if your planning on hiding it, its very difficult
20gauge piercings are the smallest common size.
14
18 gauge is the next smallest from 16 gauge. Size runs from highest number being the smallest gauge to lower numbers being the larger gauge. IE: 18g 16g 14g 12g 10g
14G ♥
1.2mm / 16g
12g would be your starter :)
the smallest guage you can get is a 16. its only the size a a lip ring, or you can go to a 14 which is the size of a belly button or tongue ring. :)
Well actually a lot of difference 18g is the smallest gauge, then 16g is the next biggest gauge followed by 14g being the largest gauge normally used for oral piercings on a male. Female lip piercings are normally 18g or 16g, 14g is too large and looks silly in a female lip.
A 16 gauge or 14 gauge are the most common for lip piercings.
No! Check with the piercer to see what gauge ur lip bar is .... mine is 16g
20g. But that's a regular ear piercing size. So you'll move up to 18g.
