Evans is an ordinary man . He is suffering from a disease known as kleptomania in which a person unwillingly steals anything . for this he had been in jail for many times . Every time he succeeded in escaping from there. This time he makes a very deep plan to escape from jail.
At the end with the help of his friends he was able to successfully launch his plan and had escaped from jail once again.
Hence , the whole story revolves around the masterplan

"Evans Tries an O-Level" is a short story by Colin Dexter. It follows the character of Alfred Wallace (a criminal known as Evans) as he attempts to break out of prison by taking an O-Level exam on behalf of another inmate.
