∙ 13y agoJoseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is about a young man who has many dreams, and his eleven brothers are not very pleased with them. Jacob, the father of all the brothers, loved Joseph the most out of all his sons because he reminded Jacob of his favorite wife, Joseph's mother. Joseph receives a colored coat, made of these colors:
red
yellow
green
brown
scarlet
black
ocher
peach
ruby
olive
violet
fawn
lilac
gold
chocolate
mauve
cream
crimson
silver
rose
azure
lemon
russet
gray
purple
white
pink
orange
blue
Joseph's brothers sell him. That's right: silver coins for Jacob's favorite son.
The brothers make up a story to their father, that he was attacked by a goat.
After being transfered from owner to owner, Joseph the dream interpreter gets a partnership deal with Pharaoh, the Elvis-style king. His brothers apologized, and became one family yet again.
There are (I counted) three lines of speaking in the play, and two words that are yelled.
It is all music.
It is great.
It is magical.
It's Technicolor.
It's dreams.

∙ 13y agoJoseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical. The story is about Joseph and his coat of many colors from The Bible book of Genesis. Joseph's brothers are jealous of Joseph's because of his coat. The brothers sell Joseph as a slave in Egypt, then tell their family he was killed. Joseph eventually works his way out of being a slave. Due to famine, the brothers go to Egypt to beg for food. They ultimately have to deal with Joseph.
