The main features that allow it to survive are it's bioluminescent lure (shiny antenna). IT also has the ability to strike in .09 seconds, allowing it to eat just about anything in it's way. it is a member of a rare class of animals who use what is called sexual dimorphism. essentially the regular pix people see of the fish are all female. the rest of the species, the males are a fraction of the female's size. they look like worms more than the creepy-fish appearance of their mates. They are born with a mouth and full digestive system, but that eventually disintegrates and the male is forced to attach to a female or die. They attach by using the hook on the female's skin. Then enzymes dissolve the mouth and skin around it and form it into one smooth structure. from here on out the female has the ability to spawn whenever she is ready, and can have up to six males on her at once.
