In the west Indian novel 'Humming Bird Tree' written by Ian McDonald has numerous of conflicts that circulate throughout the book, but, out of the many there is one in specific and that is the racial prejudice between the Indian's and people who are white through this great relationships where broken. Kaiser, Jaillin and Alan are the three that formed a great friendship and even romantic relationship but all this was drifting apart as Alan's mother wanted Alan to have nothing to do with Kaiser and Jaillin and there friendship ended due to Jaillin and Alan being caught into the sea naked.
