The ballet grades are (in order from low to high) - Pre-Syllabus - Pre-School - Pre-Primary - Primary - Grade 1 - Grade 2 - Grade 3 - Grade 4 - Grade 5 - Grade 6 - Grade 7 - Intermediate-Foundation - Intermediate - Advanced 1 - Advanced 2 (after grade 5, you can skip straight to Intermediate-Foundation, if ready for pointe)

For sure grade 3 ballet syllabus is more harder than grade 2 . Here are some syllabus Plie (first position) Plie 2* ,Ground plie (second position) Repeat ,(third position ) repeat .
No you don't have to complete Grade 5 ballet to do Intermediate Foundation, you don't even have to be in Grade 5. Hope this helps!

In RAD, you start wearing pointe shoes in Intermediate Foundation.
5-6 are intermediate, 7-8 are middle school, and 9-12 are high school.
