What is the temporary paralysis of the seventh cranial nerve which causes drooping only on the side of the face?

Bell's palsy is the name of this condition. If it causes difficulty in closing the eye, then deliberate steps may be necessary to prevent the Cornea from drying out.

Bell's Palsy causes one-sided facial paralysis. Extra care should be taken if the eye is affected. It often takes months for the condition to resolve.
