My teacher called it the prime origin. That is a sailors' term for it that isn't in the encyclopedia, but it is an actual term.

Yes and no! The Prime Meridian is the technical term for the line of longitude (0º) which passes through Greenwich, UK.
The Prime Meridian, located at 0 degrees longitude, marks the starting point for measuring longitudes.
Longitude is the best term, but sometimes meridian is used. The line of longitude at zero degrees is the Prime Meridian.
This is the "prime meridian" (also known as the Greenwich Meridian for the British observatory on the line).

The lines of longitude are also known as a meridian line.
Latitude
A "hamisphere" is not a recognized term or concept. It may have been a typo or misspelling. If you meant "hemisphere," it refers to half of the Earth divided by the equator (Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere) or by the Prime Meridian (Eastern Hemisphere and Western Hemisphere).
The term used to describe this imaginary line is the Prime Meridian. It is located at 0 degrees longitude and runs from the North Pole to the South Pole, dividing the Earth into the Eastern Hemisphere and the Western Hemisphere.
