What is the terminal velocity of body in a freely falling system?
December 18, 2010 7:59PM
In free fall there is no terminal velocity. Terminal velocity is a concept that applies when there is air resistance, but a fall without air resistance is not a free fall.

What is the average velocity of a freely falling body from a height h?
The average velocity of a falling body from a height is called the law of conservation of energy. which state that in a closed system or lsolated the total amount of energy is always constant although energy can be transform from one form to another i.e P.E=K.E p.E =MgH Where m_mass g_acceleration due to gravity. H_height. K.E=1/2MV^2 WHEre m_mass V_velocity.

Why do planets not fall into the Sun of fly off into the space?
An orbiting object is in equilibrium between flying straight out of the solar system and falling into the sun. The fact that it is always falling toward the sun keeps it from flying off, and the fact that the law of inertia is trying to keep it going in a straight path at a constant velocity keeps it from falling into the sun.

Why would the earth terminal get hot when the car is off?
This depends what Earth Terminal you mean The one on the top of the battery, You may have a bad battery. Disconect it and come back in 24 hours and see if it is dead. Not dead means that there is a short in the electrical system and this terminal needs cleaning. If the battery is dead the battery is bad, replace it. If this is another terminal and gets hot and stays hot it means there is a large draw on the system and this terminal is dirty and requires cleaning. The hot terminal is allways the highest resistance in the system. Good Luck
