Basically, Henry Yewbeam was playing a game of marbles in Bloor's Academy (which I don't think was an academy then) in 1916. His evil cousin Ezekiel Bloor rolls a big marble towards him, which is actually a temperature-controlled Time Twister, which twists him forwards in time to the present day. He is found by none other than Charlie Bone, who helps him. However, Ezekiel finds out that his cousin is back, and is very angry, so Charlie calls on Cook, who helps him. In the end, Henry goes to live with Paton Yewbeam's father - who is actually Henry's younger brother - by the sea. Cook's sister, Pearl, agrees to look after him.
The theme for "Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy" includes friendship, courage, and the power of accepting oneself despite differences. It explores the idea of loyalty and standing up for what is right, even in the face of adversity.
