Death
Iliads and the odyssey
The focus of the epic is Achilles, as the firs line sets the scene by introducing the rage of Achilles, Peleus' son; a theme which re-appears numerous times in the story.
Helen's father was Zeus.
The original author(s) of these works is not positively known. The Greek Poet Homer ('Ομηρος) produced their current form around the 9th Century BC. (Homer could have been a group of writers as no records have ever been found of the actual poet.)However, there is a pattern of style being used in the the Iliad, so Homer could be the one who synthesized the oral poem and added new linguistic devices in the poem to make it more interesting. The Iliad and The Odyssey were first told in forms similar to their present forms by Homer, a blind poet who is believed to have lived around 850 B.C. However, they were not actually written by Homer. Rather, Homer originally presented his works through oral presentation, i.e. by speaking or singing them.
The theme is pretty much what the book is about. This book is about a man named Homer Smith, a southern man, who comes across some German nuns who need his help. The head mother of the nuns, Mother Maria Marthe, believes that Homer is the answer to her prayers and asks him to build a church for them. It's a book of faith.

This transformation helps Odysseus conceal his true identity as he plans his revenge against the suitors who have overrun his palace. The disguised Odysseus also tests the loyalty of his servants and family, showcasing the importance of perception and hidden truths in the epic.
