In Dragons of Deltora, now that the shadowlord has been driven out and the prisoners have been rescued, Deltora realizes that their land is dying. Ancient stories tell of fishing nets full to bursting of fish, and giant vegatables. Now however, no one seems to be able to collect enough food to support themselves. The librarian discovers something called the "four sisters" in a book. It is believed that these four sisters, whatever they are, are slowly poisoning the land. Can Leif destroy the sisters and save Deltora, or will Deltora become a wasteland, just as the shadowlands themselves?
