The motif that comes to mind just off the top of my head would be the Sound that you hear when the big things appear. It is like a loud horn like sound so you can't miss it and it happens throughout the movie. Also maybe how everytime the humans get zapped the clothes are always left along with ash. But I know the sound for sure. Sorry I couldnt be more help
The theme of the movie "War of the Worlds" revolves around survival, resilience, and the fragility of humanity in the face of an overwhelming and unstoppable force. It explores how individuals and families cope with fear, chaos, and loss during an alien invasion, highlighting the primal instinct to protect loved ones and persevere through adversity.
I think it was in part a focusing of attention on Britain's own expansionism. Their technology allowed them to invade more technologically primitive cultures, and take them over. The theme would be "now the shoe is on the other foot".
Also, there is some exploration of the themes of socialism (which at that time had never been tried by any advanced nation, so no one knew how badly socialism actually worked). You are supposed to think of the Eloi as pampered royalty, and the Morlocks as the workers forced to maintain them. Then in a twist, you find out that the Eloi are cattle to the Morlocks, not their superiors.
Do you know? :)
