Chyme. Food begins entering the mouth and is mixed with saliva and this mass is called a bolus. The bolus goes down the esophogus to the stomach where it is mixed with stomach acids and becomes chyme. The chyme goes through gastric emptying into the small intestine where it is then mixed with bile to allow the transport of fat into the blood stream.

When you drink liquid, it goes down your throat and into your stomach. From there, it is absorbed into your bloodstream and distributed throughout your body to provide hydration and nourishment.

It depends on what you are sick with, personally when I am sick with a stomach ache i drink milk and it makes me feel better because of the thickness it goes in your stomach and coats it and makes it feel better, unless you are lactose and tolerant or if you drink skim milk then it won't coat your stomach because it is not thick
