"The timing marks are on the vibration damper and a pointer is attached to the engine."

There should be four marks on the vibration damper about a quarter inch apart. Each mark represents ten degrees. The zero degree mark is the first mark to cross the pointer as the engine is turning. I have three drive belts and the timing marks are on the outer rim of the second crankshaft pulley.
