The top speed of the Pontiac Grand Am GT with the 3400 V6 is approximately 130mph. However, the Grand Am GT shares the same transmission with the 4-cylinder models, and sustaining these speeds will quickly cause permanent damage to internal transmission components. Furthermore, driving at such spe…eds on public roads is illegal, irresponsible, and can result in incarceration and forfeiture of your vehicle. Also, injuring someone as the result of negligence carries mandatory prison sentences in many states. ( Full Answer )
I did 115 in mine and It wasnt the limit. The steering wheel started rattling at about 105, that was a problem I just never got fixed. Unfortunatley the car is no more :( the 04 v6 Camry has a good engine. btw my car was NOT destroyed in a high-speed encounter. Im safer when I drive fast, haha…. ( Full Answer )
IVE GONE 147 MILES PER HOUR I have a 95 ford probe gt, when I removed the stock muffler, catalytic converter, replaced my air filter box with a cold air intake I increased my horse power decently. I topped my probe gt at 151. . . It was nice.
Answer . vNo. It wont. The 1994 has a different body the the 2004. The 1994-1998 models are known as code-name "SN95", and the 1999-2004 models are a bit different and known as "New Edge". They both have different bodys and slightly different convertible tops. Because of this, you must have only… a 1994-1998 convertible top on a 1994-1998 car. Also, being a 2004 GT has nothing to do with it. All models, GT, 6 cylinder, cobra, whatever, they all have the same bodies. The only differences are on the outside. The base of the cars are the same. For example, if i take my 1985 mustang GT and turn it into a 4 cylinder, it still has the same body, only the bumpers, trim, and motor are different.. But to awnser your question in short, No. ( Full Answer )
About 140-155 Road and Track and many other magazines topped the GT out at 138mph. It should be more but fifth gear in the five speed is to tall for 225hp. With tighter gearing it will increase or if you modify to over 300 wheel horse power fifth will become very usable. If you have an auto trans… it will be 138 as well because of poorer power transfer. The top speed limit is set in the program running in the ECM (Engine Control Module). Someone once told me for the Grand Am, the limit was set by the speed rating of the OEM tires.
I own a 1991 gts with a cold and and high performance plugs and wires. with just me in the car i did 145 then i thought i saw a cop and had to brake, i had about 300 rpms left
Answer . The limited top speed of a 2004 dodge ram 5.7L hemi is 170km/h
20" wheels will fit no problem. I had a set on my RX8 and they fit fine even when the car was lowered.
youll be looking at around 186 maybe a little less depending on what u done to the bike!!. That would be 299 KM/h for the Canadians :P
"im sayin about 10kph" . 10 kph = 6.21 mph, my daughter's crf 50 will do 35 mph, so you are way off! A crf250r (which I own) will do at least 55-60 mph depending on the sprockets you have on the bike.
I purchased my 2004 at Carmax in 2005-was able to get the Grand Touring edition with 10,000 miles for $15,000 less than sticker price in the color I wanted with all the options I wanted. With the competition for sales you should be able to get a good deal. They found one in another part of the count…ry and shipped it to me. It was perfect and in my price range! ( Full Answer )
make sure you have the proper tire pressure, 32 psi. It will turn on even if it is over inflated.
Under the steering wheel, look down under the plastic cover under the steering wheel. you would be able to see/feel the OBD port without taking any panels away.
100mph! I've done it. When you hit 100 the electronic limiter cuts in and sends you back down a couple mph. You can keep doing it all day and it'll continue cutting in. The limiter is pretty unpleasant and honestly if you're cruising at high speed and don't realize you're approaching 100 you will be… in for a pretty big shock if you hit it, because it feels like your transmission just broke. I believe the factory top speed is 145 with the limiter. If you take it off though im sure it will easily top 150.. It is 162 without the limiter removed
139MPH is the factory rated mph but ive had my 2002 GT to 145mph with more left in it
I have an 05 RX8 (not much difference engine-wise between the two). If I drive it VERY CAREFULLY, and maintain low RPMs... I get 16 MPH. I then found out (thankfully) that I was hurting the engine by doing so. It is a RACE CAR. :-) So then I gunned it everywhere... shifting around 6000+, etc. …...and my mileage jumped to 21 MPH. The trick is to wait for the engine to warm up first before shifting high, but then do it all you want. The best mileage I've gotten with it is 23 MPH... but that was a VERY long highway trip at a constant 80-90 MPH. (this car really really really likes going fast) ( Full Answer )
mine gets about 17 miles per gallon they are supose to get 18 city and 24 hwy
110Mph Due to tire limitations. 108 MPH due to computer limitations. Why people think it's due to the tires is beyond me. If you want to go faster, you should probably upgrade to better tires, however, the car will still never pass 108. It's actually 108 mph due to both computer and tire limit…ations. They set the speed governor at what the max speed the tires that ship with it can go. So both answers are correct. ( Full Answer )
i just got mine up to 120, i think I could have pushed it more, but i had a feeling i should slow down, then literally 5 seconds later I passed a state trooper, but i got it down to 65 just in time.....
You will need wheel chocs, jack, jack stand, philips screw driver No.2, 8 mm socket/wrench, 21mm to remove wheel. Begin by chocing your wheels (use a brick or big rock if needed) front and back opposite to the side you are working on. Loosen, but DO NOT remove your lug nuts on the side with the burn…ed out bulb, jack wheel off ground by two to three inches. Place jack stand securely under vehicle near where the rear of the lower control arm attaches to the body. Remove the wheel, remove the lower portion of the inner wheel well. Three front screws UNDER front of vehicle plus two plastic clips. Leave the three screws used to attach mud flap to wheel well cover intact. 6-7 plastic clips inside the wheel well including the row just above the seam. To remove plastic clips hold outer ring firmly and carefully turn the ceter portion with the number 2 philips (stuby works well). Now remove wheel well cover twist the bulb balast remove from housing. Replace bulb, installation is reverse of removal. Be sure to check your lug nuts after 50km. ( Full Answer )
168mph stock. 168-200 modified ( i got mine 193) with a high performance computer and turbo system - Mrvegasir. you might want to change your gearing if your going that fast. Mine went 172mph stock
I believe the 2006 Ford GT is electronically limited to : ( 205 MPH / 330 KM/H )
i am not a real specialist but i would guess about 320 km/h if u take it to the limit. i am not a real specialist but i would guess about 320 km/h if u take it to the limit. I have had mine up to about 150mph and was still accelerating. I have a 62mm throttle body, bbk headers, performance coils, …and tuned though. ( Full Answer )
You have to take the tire off and get the liner off to reach the the headlight!
Wrong: a 150hp 4-cylinder in a 29-3000lb car will only go about 125-130 max. Speedo's are not an indication of how fast a car can go.. the speedometer says 160 but it would probably go faster but i dont wanna try it
Usually around a 150 MPH. 160 if you do some modding, but 150 is the average stock MPH
Hi, my GT Turbo reaches it's limited top speed of 180km/h no probs and rather quick with revs remaining, will be having it re-chipped soon so then the limiter will be out, then will see.
I drove a 2005 Honda accord and it topped out at 130mph because of the governor. i bet its the same for the 2004 Honda accord lx.
Ford's GT 500 top speed is eletronically limited at 160mph. Without the limiter the GT 500 is capable of speeds in excess of 175mph.
my 2004 grand prix GT tops out at 178 kph/111 mph with 94 octane fuel and no modification...just good gas
I am in the UK and have a Jap import 1996 Subaru Legacy GTB 280Bhp Twin Turbo Estate. When I had a play with the German Autobahns recently, the speedo which was an upgrade 240Kph STI one fitted in Japan and the limiter removed read straight down off the clock to over where 260Kph would be (about 165…Mph) and it was still accelerating on the red line but traffic stopped me going faster. And a knocking noise stopped me trying it again!!! The car had two adults two teenagers and a load of luggage in it on our way to Italy.. It may have been upgraded by it's previous Japanese owner because it has Zero Sports Racing Development and Kamono badges on the back. And a button for the horn that warbles it for 10 seconds to get the car in front out of the way! ( Full Answer )
The top speed of the Ford GT is 201-212 mph (212 might be the most recommended answer)
There is no "timing belt" There is also no camshaft nor any valves. The rotary engine does not use any of the above.
The Ford Probe GT registers 140mph on the speedometer. However, due to the car being drag limited, it is said the top speed is 137mph. The car may say you are doing 140mph+ but there are factory calibrations that are off causing the speedometer to be off at this speed.
go under the car and locate the radiator in the left side you will see a small plastic bolt remove it and the the coolant will be out after its empty put it back and done.
I have a stock 08 GTS CVT (unfortunately) and i reached 126 mph but had to slow down because of traffic. The car still had more to give. Im guessing it can hit 135
add a super charger or swap for a bigger motor, maybe make the vehicle lighter or if you really wanna go fast get an SV650S red.
Four, 2 plus 2... mazda rx8 use 4 plugs, 2 x RE8C-L & 2 x RE9B-T And to replace them u have to remove the front wheel, if u in uk, will be in the passanger side... If u change them , change one a time, dont put in the wrong place. ps. also recomend u to change coils, and wires
I Hurd that the 1985 mustang gt top speed was 135mph so the 86 shouldn't be slower
It's suppose to have a stock top speed of 140, but I never got mine past 134
Caution - Block the rear wheels - Jack up the front left - remove the Wheel. near the firewall side there is a Rubber flap un-button the flap. You will need a long extension for your spark plug socket - I used a 24". Warning do them one at a time so you don't mix up the leading and trailing pl…ugs and wires. The plugs are different and can cause damage if you swap them! Only the Dealer carries the correct Plug wire set. There are no after market ones. ( Full Answer )
The top speed is limited to 120 mph. If the limiter was removed speeds of up to 130-135 should be possible.
132 mph with the windows up. 3.08 rear ratio manual in final drive 1:1, not overdrive.
The 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 is electronically limited to 155 miles per hour ( according to the Ford supplement )
That question has far too many answers. There are four spark plugs. They are designated as "lead" or "trailing". This requires two different kinds of plugs. (I use NGK Iridium plugs). Each plug has its own ignition coil. The spark plug wires, the coils and the plugs are the place to start. The wirin…g connectors to the coils become brittle and are prone to breakage when removed carelessly. Never pull directly on the wires! Try cleaning the connectors with carburetor cleaner spray and a soft brush or cloth before carefully disconnecting the coils. The engine is prone to flooding, and a wet plug will not fire. The ECU (computer) is something else to consider, as is making sure that the crankshaft sensor on the drivers side of the engine by the crankshaft pulley is clean and the wires are intact, as this is where the firing signals originate. There is alot of good information to be found in researching Mazda RX8 sites, there is also alot of bunk. Pony up the dough to buy yourself a Clymer's or Chilton's manual and use common sense. Designed by engineers, assembled by idiots. Take your time, do your homework. Vice-Grip pliers, a big flathead screwdriver and a hammer are seldom the proper tools for repairing today's automobiles. The same way as with almost any car: hold the "gas" pedal all the way to the floor for 10 seconds while cranking the engine, then release the pedal and start it normally. (Source: owner's manual) Or, you could trade it for a newer one that doesn't have this problem.
