Total weight of the bolts is 3,800 grams, so there would be 380 bolts if each bolt weighed 10 grams, and 760 bolts if each bolt weighed 5 grams. Let x be the quantity of 5 gram bolts and y be the quantity of 10 gram bolts. 5x + 10y = 3800 x = 760 - 2y and x + y = 460 x = 460 - y therefore 760 - 2y = 460 - y 300 = y and x + 300 = 460 then x = 160 There are 160 bolts weighing 5 grams each and 300 bolts weighing 10 grams each.
The 1978 thunderbird had a 460 as one of its optional engines so yes it can fit
460
a 460 is an excellent hi-output big block engine, but the torque an HP specs really depend on what year the engine is. 90s 460s, fuel injected, put out about 250 HP and 400 ft-lbs of torque. earlier 460s were of similar performance, and many were more powerful. the real downfall of the engine is its incredibly horrible gas mileage- with fuel injection even, they get around 10MPG. as you can see, these engines in stock form can pull just about anything you could hook it to. I'm putting an FI 460 into my '79 bronco ATM.
Yes,there were many f series with the 460 in the 70's and 80's.
