it turns your traction control system on or off. if you have the system on the tires will slow automatically if they begin to slip and when you get traction again the tires will engage fully, when it is off you press the gas pedal and the tires will spin freely without slowing to get traction. if you are a drifter you want trac off
It is the button that temporarily turns traction control off.
It is to the left of your hazard lights button on the center of the console.
The "trac" button is for traction control. By default, traction control is always on unless you turn it off.
Problem with the ABS.
It temporally disables traction control.
Say when you turn with Trac off your motor increases and decreases power from one front wheel to another. With Trac on your motor keeps an equal amount of power to each wheel.

problem with anti theft take to the dealer Check under your dash, you may have a reset button that will allow you to start your Trac with that. The only problem is that every time you need to start your Trac, you will have to hit that button before hand. Also try locking your doors, then unlocking them with your key fob, then try starting your Trac.

There is a button on the dash marked trac. PUSH IT/////actually the button is on the center council on my 2004 gt2
Pressing that button temporarily turns off traction control.
I think it is in the passenger footwell. Is a red button.
