What is the true church of God?

It seems that from its very earliest years, Christianity was riven by divisions, 'heresies' and rivalry. In his epistles, Paul complained of those who opposed his teachings, teaching a "different Christ". He, in turn, visited the Jerusalem Church to inform its leaders, James and Peter, of the gospel he preached: (Galations 2:2) "And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privily to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run , or had run, in vain." Whether or not Paul sought an exchange of beliefs, it does seem that he believed his gospel to be different from that taught by the Jerusalem Church. There were other early Christian communities during the first century, with some scholars suggesting as many as fifty rival Church organisations.

We can no longer say which was the oldest Christian Church, although the Jerusalem Church of James and Peter, believed to have been the original Ebionite Church, appears to have existed before Paul began to preach. Nor do we really know exactly what doctrine either Paul or the Ebionites taught; the New Testament gospels were not written until many years later.

Thus, we can not really identify the 'true' Church of Jesus Christ, or even know if one single true Church ever existed. All Christians can do is listen to the claims of each denomination and make a choice among them.

There are several religions claiming to be the one true faith, and it's not really possible to provide a rational answer to which of them it is that has gotten it right. Religion is a matter of faith and belief anyhow, so pick the one you like the most and leave others to their preferences.

I am a Seventh-day Adventist because I believe the SDA church follows what The Bible teaches. Thus, I believe that the SDA church is the true church of God... "Here is the patience of the SAINTS, here are they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD and the faith of Jesus" (Rev. 14:12, KJV). Notice that the Lord, when inspiring John to write these words, didn't say "some of the commandments" or "whichever commandments are convenient", but "THE commandments" - meaning ALL of them - including the fourth. (Ex. 20:8-10) Since the SDA church adheres to the principle that the Bible is our rule of faith and seeks to follow what the Lord has said without respect to customs and other people's ideas, I am convinced the the SDA church is the true church of God, ie, is the closest to understanding and following God's Word.

However, I firmly hold to the belief that many people from other churches/religions will be saved. Of course, this doesn't mean that it doesn't matter which church/religion you belong to; it does, very much so! But it means that God does not make decisions at the judgment based on which church's books your membership is on. He makes decisions based on the heart and whether or not you loved and obeyed Him in every way you knew how. This is the key here. If you know something, and chose to ignore it, then you risk losing your eternal life. However, if you didn't know and couldn't know, then I believe God takes that into account. There is no mention in the Bible of denominations or anything that even closely approximates them, so I would like to submit that salvation is not based on membership or affiliation, but a heart connection with the Lord.

The true Church of God is the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Jesus died for our sins on Calvary (as it says in the Bible). God is our Father and Jesus is Our Brother. We owe Him our lives. Without God we wouldnt have woken up this morning, and without Jesus we would have no chance of getting into heaven. The Bible says also that God rested on the Sabbath day and called it Holy. This is a very contreversial issue, but the truth of the matter is that the Sabbath Day is SATURDAY. The Bible says nothing about changing it to Sunday. (Look it up yourself and don't just take my word for it). Jesus is coming soon and do not wait to give your life to Him. It might be to late. READ the Bible and learn for yourself.

God is real. He is the one that guides you and protects you. He is the true and living God. He loves us so much that He allows us to choose between Him and the devil. God said be in the world but not of the world, and now it is time to make your decision....God is coming back to save his people, and if you want to be part of that choose God because no one wants to burn with the devil no matter how great these worldly desires and plessures may look. Who do you think is allowing the devil to live. GOD!...He has all power but He wants you to choose him yourself not out of force. So do the right thing and give your life to the Lord

The true church established by Jesus Christ is a spiritual church composed of all believers past, present and future. The church (the body of Christ) is not the Baptist or a Catholic or an Anglican (etc) church.

Colossians 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Colossians 1:24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,
