Cartilage. This is composed of connective tissue that is not as hard as bone but is stiffer than muscle.
Ligaments.
Bone tissue can be either spongey or compact. Compact bone is found on the walls of the shaft of bones while Spongey bone is found at the ends of the bone where joints are made.
Cartilage covers the ends of bones at joints, while a ligament is the tissue that connects two bones to form a joint.
