Advise from other contributors:
It depends on the amount of out-of-cage activity it will get. For active ferrets a minimum of a two story cage is good for one ferret (similar to large rodent cages). And for more ferrets double the size of the smallest cage; except when your ferret is elderly. They may not be able to make it to the litter pan if they have to walk too much; or may have trouble walking.

Ferrets do not hibernateSdresh is correct, they do not hibernate. They do become less active in the winter months though. Then again, so do I.No. Ferrets have no need to hibernate in winter. Instead of hibernating in winter ferrets will grow a thicker coat, eat more, put on weight and begin to sleep more.
Yes, you can take ferrets for walks on a lead, make sure you have a harness (two fittings - around the neck and around the body) and that it is secure, they can easily slip out if it's too loose. Many people take their ferrets on walks. Use a leash and harness made for ferrets. Just make sure your ferret is up to date on vaccines. And be aware of other large animals near the ferret, instincts may cause them to perceive ferrets as food
Large females can grow to 21" in height. Males to 19".
An allosaurus can grow up to 10 metres tall.
Ferrets shed fur twice a year - spring and fall - so that the hair that grows back will suit the change. In the fall, your ferrets will grow back thicker fur for the winter and it may appear to be a different color. However, some ferrets that are in milder temperatures may have subtle notices in fur than ferrets in colder climates.
Ferrets are quite susceptible to Cryptococcus gattii, which is a genus of fungus. These fungi grow in culture as yeasts. Cryptococcosis, or cryptococcal disease, is a potentially fatal fungal disease.
