Distance travelled against time. For instance, miles per hour (MPH) to measure the speed of a car.
The rotation of an object is measured by the unit, rotation/revolutions per second. however, if the speed of a point on the rotating object has to be found, then it can be measured using the standard units of measuring speed.
[Speed] = [any unit of length] divided by [any unit of time].
The SI unit for measuring matter is the kilogram (kg). This unit is used to quantify the amount of mass in an object or substance.
By measuring the distance and time
The space that fills an object.
Fathom is the unit for measuring height of a mountain depth of water hardness of a substance velocity of an object none above
Distance and time. Speed is defined as the distance an object travels per unit of time, so these two base quantities are essential for measuring speed.
Speed is an absolute unchanging linear distance crossed per unit time. Speed is not the same thing as velocity, and an object cannot exhibit a "rate of speed" since rate is velocity. Speed is determined by measuring the distance traversed over a specific unit of time. Since the object almost always is not at a constant speed, we are really estimating the average speed.
Speed
Speed. The equation to find speed is distance over time.
Volume
It's a great unit if you're measuring small volumes or capacities. It wouldn't be good at all for measuring speed or time.
