It depends on the system in which you are working, but the units will be the same as for a regular solid. In the International System of Units (SI units, for short), the unit for volume is m3.

You can still use liters if you want to, but cubic centimeters (cm3) are more common. However, 1cm3=1mL.

The units for volume are the same, whether the object is regular or irregular. For example, cubic meters, or liters.

Research about the units of mesurement of irregular solids?

SI unit of volume is cubic meter (m3). The solids whose volume can be calculated by measuring length, width, height, diameter etc. are called regular solids.

What is the base unit for an irregular solid?

You can measure the volume of irregular solids by using water displacment which is meausured in mililiters (mL), and that, in turn, can be converted to cubic centimeters (cm3)

What does cm3 stand for and is it used to measure solids or liquids?

The unit cm3 stands for cubic centimeters. Cubic centimeters is a unit of measure for reporting the volume of regular and irregular solid objects. When reporting the volume of a liquid, milliliters (mL) is the proper unit.

Is used in finding the volume of irregular soids?

Water displacement is used to find the volume of irregular solids as discovered by Archimedes

What method used to measure irregular solids?

To measure what quantity of irregular solids? If its volume you are referring then you can use the volume displacement method where you need a measuring cylinder, water and possibly a displacement can.Measure a known quantity of water. Then immerse the irregular solid in this cylinder. The rise in the water level equals the volume of the irregular solid. Note that if the irregular object floats, a sinker must be used to fully immerse the irregular solid, where the volume of the sinker should be known.Hope this helps- if you need more information email me @ physicsisland@hotmail.com

How do you find the volume of a irregular solid?

you cut it into regular solids then figure out those then add them together

How can you measure the volume of irregular solids if you do not have a graduated cylinder?

measure the volume of liquid that the object displaces

When is ml the perferred unit to use for volume?

When you need to find volume of an irregular solid or a liquid.

1 millileter equals 1?

cubic centimeter (also a unit for volume of solids)

How do you calculate the volume of irregular solids Describe please An irregular solid is like a toy car so how would you measure the volume of that Dont understand need help click on and find out?

The volumes of small irregular solids are usually easily measured by measuring the volume of fluid displaced when they are immersed in a liquid. For example: You would have to put the object in a measuring glass with water in it. (~1/3 filled) Put the object in it and then get the number from the measuring glass (beaker etc. mostly beaker) and that is how you measure a irregular solid!

What is the unit for irregular solid volume?

Irregular solid volume is still measured in cm3 etcTo Find the Volume of an irregular object you can,Measure out a proportional amount of water to the object you are finding the volume ofPut the object in the container of waterSee how much the water has risen byYou now have the volume!!(The difference between the new and old volumes of water is the volume

What is irregular volume?

The unit used to measure irregular volume is cubic centimeters (cm3). However, liters may be used - 1 cm3 is equal to 1 milliliter.
