A superscript number to the left of an atomic symbol represents the mass number of a particular isotope of the element represented by the symbol. Sometimes this mass number appears on the right side instead of the left, but preferably a right superscript should be used only to indicate a net electrical charge.
Series Number. The series number is found in both the upper right margin and the lower left margin.
It use the symbols as alphabetical characters for element names for examples: C for Carbon, Cu for copper (Cuprum in latin)And in the lower left of the symbol is atomic number, for C it is 6: 6Cin the upper left of the symbol is the mass number, for C it is 12 : 12C(or with another isotope, 13)Then the full nomination: 612C (write 6, and 12 one column aligned)(answer)My chemistry book states that its a Chemical Formula, "a shorthand representation of the composition of a substance using atomic symbols and numerical subscripts"
On a standard military topographic map, the sheet number is located in both the upper right margin and the lower left margin. They are laid out this way so maps can be linked together.
262107BHJust imagine the 262 is directly above the 107, the upper number is the atomic mass number which is the sum of the number of protons and neutrons while the lower number is the atomic number which is just the number of protons.
upper case
The male symbol for pokemon is the Mars Symbol (a circle with an arrow pointing out of the upper right). It's blue in the games.
The symbol for Mars is a circle with an arrow coming out of it in the upper right. This represents the shield and spear of the god of war.
power.
Its the same as the sign used by Volvo. Its a circle with an arrow pointing out of it to the upper right.
The atomic number is usually written to the lower left of the atomic symbol. The atomic mass is usually written to the upper right of the atomic symbol. So, carbon-14 would look like this: 6C14
The upper right central incisor is number 8.
the number which is written on the lower left or right side of the symbol of the element = mass number = no. of protons + no. of neutrons the number which is written on the upper left side of the symbol of the element = atomic number = no. of protons = no. of electrons (because in a neutral atom i.e. which does not have any charge , no. of electrons = no. of protons) and PLEASE KEEP YOUR QUESTIONS IN THE PROPER CATEGORY
Cl is the symbol for chlorine. Watch out when you write chemical symbols that you correctly use upper and lower case! The superscript minus sign tells you that the chlorine has gained an electron and become a chloride ion, negatively charged.
upper right margin
When a symbol is used for a number it could be any symbol at all. It could be a letter from the Roman or Greek alphabet, upper case or lower case. It could also be any random symbol that you like provided that it is not a "reserved" symbol. By that I mean you cannot use "+" as a symbol since that might be very confusing!
The sheet number on a map is in the upper right hand margin.
