how can i find timing marks on a Isuzu Bighorn 1995 4JG2 diesel engine, just for the case marks...please and thanks.
torque settings are: 4JG2 cylinder head, 49 Nm + 60 degrees + 60 degrees.
Valves should be adjusted cold (70ºF ) at .016" for both intake and exhaust valves. As usual, make sure cylinder is at TDC when adjusting.

timing belt light rest
When the engine 4jg2 starts then its stops it is due to a mechanical failure.
Standing at the front of the car looking at the engine the oil pressure sender and oil pressure switch are located on the right side of the engine half way down the block. If you go to the front left wheel and look over the top and lift the rubber flap, you'll see it there. Hope this helps.
The crank mark is inline with the key facing straight up timing marks on diesel pump and oil pump you take the thin metal covers off both gears only the covers not the gears there are x1 hole in each gear that you screw a bolt with a 12mm head on it to lock them in place.
I may be interested in buying the 3.1 diesel engine please advice on the price. May you also send your contact details to my email address (kwape@naftec.org) Regards, Lems
