Biomanufacturing. When organisms are (Bio)engineered for a certain purpose, this is generally the result.

For example, antibiotics are biomanufactured. Certain strains of microorganisms (yeast, bacteria, etc) are selected because, as part of their life cycle, they create certain molecules. Those microorganisms are not the product, it is the molecules they create that are the product.
