There are a huge variety of brain tumours, and their level of seriousness depends entirely upon where they are located and how advanced they have become. Most tumours that grow on the outside surface of the brain, and even some that grow inside it, can be removed surgically. Some of those that cannot be surgically removed can be treated with either chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or a combination of the two.
