Asking price of $400 the easily damaged rear circle site with a nuralled ellevation and hinged fold down design (a reletivly pricy trincate if missing listed as $125 add-on). The rifle was missing a screw in the butt plate and the breach slide had striation markings from slide operation with lateral movement when closed of about 0.5mm (I don't know if that is excessive at this time). I have not fired the weapon as yet and more evaluation is coming. Finish was 3-4 on a scale of 5.

Remington did manufacture a John Browning designed rifle. The Remington Model 8, semi-auto rifle was made from 1906 until 1936. The improved version, the Model 81, was made from 1936 until 1950. Remington also manufactured the Browning designed Auto-5 shotgun under their name as the Model 11 in various grades and gauges.
