The British One Pound coin was first issued in 1983 and are all 22.5 mm in diameter and have the date inscribed on them, sometimes on the edge. The only Royal Mint silver One Pound coins are "Proof FDC" or "Proof piedfort FDC" and are packaged, marked and priced accordingly.
