This coin contains .8862-ounce of silver - so at the very least, is worth silver value. If it's uncirculated, these coins retail at between $30 and $35 (or silver value, whichever is highest at the time.)

When you say "Silver", do you mean made of silver or, silver in appearance? Does the coin have a denomination marked on it? I can only find two Australian coins with "eagles" on them and neither of them are dated 1983.

No coins were struck for circulation in silver after 1946 in the United Kingdom. The coin is made from cupro-nickel, an alloy of copper and nickel. Value would be unlikely to be more than FACE i.e. 5p.

A British 1967 silver Maundy Twopence (QE II), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £12 GBP. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.
