First.. are you sure it is Sterling? Onieda made a lot of "silver plated" items, which currently have zero value. The word "STERLING" needs to be stamped on the tray in order for it to be sterling and worth money.
I don’t know
@#$2,000.
Sterling Silver Set Value: $225
Sterling silver is 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper and no nickel.
No. Sterling Silver is 925 Silver (they are one in the same)Sterling Silver - Sterling silver is a composition of 925 parts pure silver with 75 parts of copper
Because sterling silver is an alloy, most of the value in the object. There are calculators for the melt value of sterling silver. In August 2016, the value was $15.52 per troy oz.
its about 20$ depending on the condition
With current market prices of silver, a (pure silver) grain is worth around 5 cents, 500 grains would give you about $25, but since your silver round is sterling, you need to multiply that $25 by .925 (the fineness of sterling silver) which gives you about $23.12 in silver value. Most likely, your silver round contains no collectible value, but you may want to check auction sites to see if it commands a premium over the silver content. Most privately made silver rounds do not, but there are a few collectors out there.
how much sterling silver is in one place setting
Well it would depend on the number of pieces and the condition. If the pieces are monogrammed that cuts the resale value nearly in half. If you were discussing a complete service for 12 the value would probably be somewhere between one and two thousand dollars.
First of all, theres no such thing as "silver plated sterling". Sterling is 92.5% silver, anything plated is just plated. If the item is solid sterling silver, its metal value depends on the current price of silver - but it may be worth more as a collectible. If it's plated base metal it has very little value.
most likely its sterling silver which isn't pure silver and it depends on the rarity/collector value of the spoon. Probably not much more then $5 or $10 for a basic sterling spoon
Yes, sterling silver is worth lots of money. "Sterling" refers to a high degree of purity. The value of sterling silver is quite literally the market price for silver, which as the time of this writing is about USD $31.67 per troy ounce.
