The US never minted any cents from silver. Your coin was probably plated for use in jewelry or something similar. Unfortunately, that makes it an altered item with no collectible value but you could still use it again in a jewelry item.
Depending on grade and color values are $30.00-$85.00
in 1978 the value listed was 165.00 $???The US has never minted a silver 1¢ coin. In 1902 the dime was the smallest denomination of circulating silver coinage. In all likelihood it's an ordinary Indian Head penny that someone plated for use in a piece of jewelry. That was and still is a very common practice because the coin has such an impressive design.
For a good condition 1902 us penny it is worth about $1.00. For a 1902 us penny in bad condition is worth about $0.25.
None of the dates listed for the coins is a key or scarce date. likely the coins are very low grade if not culls, the only real value is the 3 silver coins, with the high silver prices there worth about $15.00
Retail value for this coin is $1.00-$3.00 in average condition.
1902 and 1907 silver dimes
1902 is not a rare date for Indian Head cents. Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 04/2010:Very worn condition - $1Moderately worn - $2Slightly worn - $3Almost no wear - $20Uncirculated - $28 to $273 depending on quality
What is the most valuable
There are Indian head pennies and there are wheat cents but they're not the same coin. Indian head cents were made from 1859 to 1909. Wheat cents were made from 1909 to 1958 and have the familiar picture of Abraham Lincoln on the front. Please see "What is the value of a 1902 Indian head penny?" for more information.
Assuming you mean a U.S. Indian Head cent and not a British penny, 1902 is a common date for Indian Head Cents. In average circulated condition it's worth $1.00-$3.00.
I have sold one of these 5 dollars tops depending what collector wants it
Retail list price is from $2.00 to $20.00 in circulated grades.
