There are Standing Liberty quarters and WalkingLiberty halves, so it's not clear which you are referring to. Assuming you have a half dollar, the value depends on its condition. As of 08/2008, approximate retail prices for a 1918-S walker are
$9 if worn, $18 with moderate wear, $55 with slight wear
Are you sure this is a 1924 standing liberty silver dollar? All my resources tell me there were no standing liberty silver dollars minted in 1924. The peace silver dollar was the coin minted in 1924. There were no standing Liberty dollars. The quarter issued from 1916 to 1930 bears the standing Liberty design, and the half issued from 1916 to 1947 bears the walking Liberty design. No, there is no running Liberty design, LOL!

Look on the reverse of the coin. If there is a small "D" or "S" under the word "ONE" then it was minted in Denver or San Francisco. If there is no letter below"ONE" it was minted in Philadelphia.
Please check your coin again. The only half dollars minted in 1925 were commemorative Stone Mountain halves. In addition the image used from 1916 to 1947 was the Walking Liberty design. The Standing Liberty design was used on quarters minted from 1916 to 1930.

There is no such thing as a Liberty dollar coin minted in 2000. There is however the Sacajawea dollar which was minted in brass, and unless in proof condition it is only worth $1.
