About 25 cents :...
the Canadian 25 cent coin from 1976 is worth anywhere from 15 $to 200$ depending on condition and, interest for it :))
CorrectionThere is no prominent information showing a premium for standard issue 1976 Canadian quarters.Silver was removed from Canadian Coins in 1968, so your half-dollar is an ordinary circulation coin struck in nickel. As such, it's only worth face value.
At the current exchange rate it's also worth just about 50¢ U.S. so you can either keep it as a curiosity, sell it at face to someone who's planning to visit Canada or save it for your own trip.
They are worth face value. These are very common coins.
It's worth exactly 25 cents in Canada.

The coin has NO silver and is face value
Maybe $3 on eBay, and it's not made of silver.
With the date of 1971 it's a EISENHOWER DOLLAR not a Liberty dollar. Only the proof and uncirculated coins sold from the Mint have more than face value regardless of date.

About 5 pence take it or leave it
Not enough info! What is the grade, is it proof, what kind is it?
There are no 1971 peace silver dollars. A circulated 1971 Eisenhower dollar is worth about $2. An uncirculated one is worth about $5. A silver collectors edition (with an "S" mintmark above the date) is worth about $10.
They are still found in circulation, have no silver and are only face value
