All years of issue of the Australian Two Dollar coin are potentially still in circulation so, unless they are part of a Proof or Uncirculated mint set or are individual Proof or Uncirculated coins and in absolute mint condition, they are worth 2 Dollars.

An Australian 2 Dollar coin is a relatively new addition to the currency, replacing the 2 Dollar note in 1988.

A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.

For a valuation on Australian bank notes you will need to provide the denomination of the note, the two signatories on the note and the serial number.

The Australian Two Dollar note was progressively withdrawn from circulation after the introduction of the Two Dollar coin in 1988, the last being released into general circulation in 1985.

If it has been circulated and there is nothing unusual about it, it might fetch up to $5 AUD.

If there is something unusual about it like the first of a series, all serial digits the same, a "Star" note, a notable defect in printing, etc., and it is still in very good condition or better, it might fetch up to $1,000 AUD or more.

If it is uncirculated and there is nothing unusual about it, and in mint condition, it might fetch up to $35 AUD. If there is something unusual about it, it might fetch up to $3,000 AUD or more.

A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.

At the very worst, they are worth Two Dollars if you take them to an Australian bank.

The Australian 2 cent coin is no longer in circulation, but unless they are part of a Proof or Uncirculated mint set or are individual Proof or Uncirculated coins and in absolute mint condition, they are worth 2 cents.

The last Australian 2 cent coins were put into general circulation in 1989 and were withdrawn from circulation in 1992.

There were "Mint Packs" released in 1990 & 1991 for collectors.

For a specific answer, please include the year.

The face value is $200, so it will always be worth that amount at an Australian bank.

The gold content is 91.67% and it weighs 10 grams or 0.2948 ounces, therefore anytime gold is valued at more than $700 (Australian) an ounce, the gold content value becomes greater than its face value.

The collector's market value will depend on the year. The $200 coin has been issued over many years, starting in 1980 & it's 'collectability" will depend on the mintage of the year in question & "the market". Many of the early coins had very high mintages and are only valued at either their face value or gold content value, whichever is greater at the time.
