Please check your coin again. Denver hasn't struck silver $1 coins for circulation since 1934.

The only silver "dollars" made in 2003 are 1 oz silver bullion pieces that are sold for their metal value; the $1 denomination is artificial. All of these were made at Philadelphia (P mint mark) or West Point (W).

If you have a Sacajawea dollar dated 2003 D, it has no silver or gold in it; it's made of brass. Even though these were minted only for collectors, a lot have been spent when they failed to go up in price. If you found it in change it's only worth face value.
